Director Lezlee L. Sabo
Lezlee began dancing at the age of 3 in Nashville, TN and spent her formative years learning the basics of dance. Continued classes throughout her school years led to a more concentrated study at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. She had her own dance studio in Brandon, FL (1986-1992) and opened My Dance Studio, Smithsburg in 2002.
She is accredited through the Southern Association of Dance Masters and the Chicago National Association of Dance Masters. Lezlee continues to further her dance education by attending workshops, conventions and master classes.
Her philosophy is teaching technique for proper form with an on-going air of enthusiasm to help students experience a love and desire for dance.
Tracey began dancing at her local dance studio at the age of 5, and faithfully took classes in tap, ballet and jazz through high school. She participated in a time-release school program for a year that allowed her to train five days a week in ballet, tap, jazz, and modern. During her early years, she also participated in Cecchetti ballet conferences and dance competitions. Then, during college, she continued dancing while studying Early Childhood Education. Upon graduation Tracey taught at a local studio in the Baltimore area. She has been with My Dance Studio teaching various ages and styles of dance for 10 years and counting!
Growing up locally, Tara took dance instruction starting at age 4. She’s had exposure to Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Acro and Pointe classes in Cumberland, Hagerstown and Walkersville. During these years she had various roles in the Nutcracker and participated in & hosted Russian Ballet Dance Camps. She began teaching as well at age 16, in Ballet, Tap and Jazz both locally and in Salisbury. Tara has a Masters Degree in Education and works with Washington Co. Public Schools as a Curriculum Specialist for Elementary Science.
Jillian began dancing at My Dance Studio at the age of 8 taking classes in ballet, tap, jazz, acro and lyrical. She studied dance at
Barbara Ingram School for the Arts. During her time there, she was cast as a dancer in Thoroughly Modern Millie and Phantom of the Opera, along with annual dance recitals and performances. She continued dancing at My Dance Studio through high school and was a Teacher Helper. After graduating from BISA, she became an Assistant Teacher with Ms Lezlee. Jillian graduated Kent State and is currently working towards a Master's degree through WVU. She is a teacher at Boonsboro Middle School.
