We offer 2 Dance Tracks for 6th - 12th grade dancers. Serious Dancer Track This track is ideal for dancers who are serious about studying technique and the discipline of dance. Dance is the main out-of-school activity for this person. Only occasional one time special events or illness will cause this dancer to be absent. This dancer does not schedule other activities that overlap with dance, cause her to be late, leave early, or miss multiple classes. *Must take ballet and may select additional classes that are the appropriate level for the dancer. The appropriate level is determined by the owners along with a teacher’s observations. *Must have attendance rate of at least 80% in each class to fully participate in the “Serious Dancer Track.” *May participate in 1-2 community performances to gain more performance experience and share our love of dance with others. If attendance falls below 80% in any class, dancers are prohibited from participating in these extra performances. Those representing us in the community need to be committed to studying the art of dance. The only exception is medical situations when doctor’s notes have been submitted to the studio. *May sign-up to participate in our “Teacher Helper Program.” *Perform in the annual recital while respecting the policies for rehearsals and the performance. Recreational Dancer Track This track is ideal for dancers who want to explore many out-of-school activities. This student wants to dance recreationally, but not make the study of technique and the art of dance a focus. This track is ideal for those who only have 1 or 2 hours a week to set aside for dance. *May only take 1-2 classes a week. *Ballet is not required. *May choose from the following classes as a recreational dancer- jazz, tap, and hip hop. *Perform in the annual recital while respecting the policies for rehearsals and the performance. |
