Tracey Turfle Tracey began dancing at her local dance studio at the age of 5, and faithfully took classes in tap, ballet and jazz through high school. She participated in a time-release school program for a year that allowed her to train five days a week in ballet, tap, jazz, and modern. During her early years, she also participated in Cecchetti ballet conferences and dance competitions. Then, during college, she continued dancing while studying Early Childhood Education. Upon graduation Tracey taught at a local studio in the Baltimore area. She has been with My Dance Studio teaching various ages and styles of dance since 2004 and as of 2020 is now the Co-Director and one of the owners of My Dance Studio. Jillian Horton Jillian began dancing at My Dance Studio at the age of 8 taking classes in ballet, tap, jazz, acro and lyrical. She studied dance at Barbara Ingram School for the Arts. During her time there, she was cast as a dancer in Thoroughly Modern Millie and Phantom of the Opera, along with annual dance recitals and performances. She continued dancing at My Dance Studio through high school and was a Teacher Helper for many years. After graduating from BISFA, she became an Assistant Teacher with Ms Lezlee. Jillian graduated from Kent State and has a Master's degree from WVU. She is a teacher in Washington County, MD. As of 2025, Jillian is Co-Director and one of the owners of My Dance Studio. Sarah Coy Sarah has been dancing 12 years and spent a year as a trainee with the Joffrey Ballet School. Her training has included Ballet, Contemporary Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Contemporary, Jazz, Street Jazz, and Hip-Hop. She’s been teaching for 6 years and she loves sharing her passion with students. Teaching dance is one of the most rewarding parts of her dance journey. She looks forward to sharing her love of dance to the next generation of artists. Lily Sanbower Lily has been a dancer for fifteen years. She has trained and competed in Pennsylvania, New York, and Virginia. Her favorite styles to choreograph are contemporary and hip hop, they are also her favorite styles to dance. She has been a dance instructor since she was fourteen and loves that she gets to share her passion for dancing with the students she teaches. Ally Spaid Ally began dancing at My Dance Studio at the age of 8. She took classes in ballet, tap, and jazz for ten years until graduating from high school. Ally went on to graduate from Shepherd University with a bachelors in Elementary Education. She now teaches 4th grade at Cascade Elementary and is working on a Master's degree in Educational Leadership through McDaniel College. Ally is very excited to be back at My Dance Studio and share her love of teaching and dance! |
